Why Choose Bristol Running Coach

With 22 years of experience in endurance sports, both as a competitor and a coach, my approach to training has continuously evolved. My passion for human performance and physiology remains the driving force in my life, guiding my work and personal journey. Throughout these years, I’ve competed in a variety of endurance based disciplines, including running, ultrarunning, Triathlon, and Ironman, achieving solid personal times while deepening my knowledge of human performance in endurance sports.

My primary expertise lies in male endurance performance in Running, specifically for distances ranging from 5k to Marathon. However, I have a keen interest in endurance training for women and children and the physiological adaptations to endurance exercise in these groups. This is an area that I believe is often overlooked and misunderstood from a coaching standpoint.

I recently qualified as an England Athletics Coach, but I believe my true expertise comes from years of trial and error, research, and an open-minded approach to the various training systems. My coaching philosophy is progressive and supportive, with a strong emphasis on communication, discipline and psychological wellbeing.
